T-Mobile Plans Review

Laptop Credit Card

There are technically two T-mobile plans for wireless broadband:

T-Mobile Total Internet | $39.99

T-Mobile Total Internet for Data Cards | $49.99

Both plans are unlimited (unlike, AT&T, Verizon, and most recently, Sprint). Both provide unlimited Internet access and unlimited use of T-Mobile HotSpots across the US. The difference between them is that one is for Data Cards, and one is not. I say just pay the $10 extra and have a card you can put into your laptop for wireless broadband just about anywhere.

The T-Mobile Total Internet plan would work best for the knowledge worker, or business traveler who spends a lot of time in Borders, airports and other cafe-esque locations. If you are more mobile than that, or don't feel there are enough T-mobile hotspots to cover your needs, go for the T-Mobile Total internet for Data Cards plan.

The only drawback to T-Mobile plans is found in their terms and conditions:

"Improper use includes...Excessively high volume data transfers or bandwidth consumption"

Some may so that's not bad when you compare T-Mobile to other providers. For me however,

QuoteThat's like going on the Autobahn and being pulled over for going too fast.

Which brings me to a review of T-Mobile's speed...
