I’ve been using Sprint Mobile Broadband for over 3 months. In that time, the biggest hiccup was losing a GPS signal while driving at 70 miles per hour on the interstate.
Not bad at all. It picked up a 15 seconds or so later.
While sitting in one place, I’ve experience a total of zero dropped signals. Just perfect for working in Starbucks, Borders, and Barnes & Noble’s everywhere. There’s something satisfying in not worrying about which coffee house is teamed up with T-Mobile, AT&T or whoever. You’ve got your card and you’re good to go anywhere.
Outside the occasional pause in some streaming music and downloading at the same time, Sprint’s connection is good to go while on the go.
You will experience limitations if you try to download a large file say, in the range of 150 MB upwards. If you’re using BitTorrent, no problem. With regular browsers, however, one interruption will require you to restart from the beginning. Besides that, it’s all peachy keen.
It can’t help but lead one to wonder if a wireless broadband connection can be so reliable, what’s up with cell phones anyway?
