The Merlin is an average card. It’ll connect you at the standard Rev. A speeds where available. Otherwise you’ll be connecting at dialup speed.
While many laptops support the ExpressCard format, you might be one of the unlucky few that doesn’t have the ExpressCard 34 slot. If you don’t then a USB card may be in order.
While it may not have the beefed up features some Alltel cards or Sprint cards have, it’s still a good card. You can pick up the V740 for free here.
