Since last year, Verizon prepaid mobile broadband has completely done away with the Daypass, restructured their pricing and data allowance for 3G USB modems and additional prepaid plans for 3G tablets.
Prepaid Mobile Broadband Plans
3G USB Modems, Mobile Hotspots & Built-In Mobile Broadband
At every tier, Verizon’s prepaid plans provide more data for the same price. They’ve also added an $80 tier for 5 GB.
As to be expected, their prepaid plans are more expensive than postpaid plans to avoid undercutting sales of their main product.
Also, depending on the plan, it will expire in either a day, week or month. As such, there’s the option to use Verizon prepaid mobile broadband plans as either a short, mid or long-term solution.
Lastly:
Prepaid Mobile Broadband Plans are not available on 4G USB modems and do not include Verizon Wi-Fi Access, Text Messaging or roaming.
That’s right no 4G prepaid mobile broadband here.
3G Tablet Plans
It’s important to note that Verizon 3G tablet prepaid plans are monthly plans exclusively and automatically renew themselves on the same calendar day of each month.
If you use up your allowance before the renewal date, service will be suspended until the next month or until you purchase a new plan.
Speed, Coverage & Devices
Being a Verizon product, it’s only natural that speed, coverage & devices directly mirror what’s available to postpaid customers with one exception: Only the 3G portion.
