Since last year, Cricket 3G speed hasn’t made any huge improvement. Still maxing out at 1.4 Mbps (EVDO Rev. 0), they have yet to catch up to the maximum 3.1 Mbps (EVDO Rev. A) 3G speeds offered by Sprint & Verizon let alone their 4G speeds.
At the time of this writing, Cricket Broadband received a 50% hit or miss satisfaction rating over at DSLReports (46 Reviews).
With these kinds of speeds, online gaming via an Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or Wii is out of the question. In addition to this, Skype video and YouTube streaming above 360p will be difficult at best (prepare to hit play, pause for loading, then come back later). However, if looking to check email and browse the web without heavy downloading, then it can serve as a viable option for you.
For now 3G speed is their weakest link. On the other hand, their 3G coverage just got increased to 2.5 times the original size.
Next, Cricket 3G Coverage
