Everything You Need To Get The Best Mobile Broadband: Before, During and After You Buy

Thoroughly walk through the 4 steps to getting the best mobile broadband, pick up an broadband card for free (or get paid for buying it) and learn insider tips that’ll make sure you get the most out of it.

Hey,

Have you ever asked at least 2 of these questions:

  • Does it make sense to get mobile broadband?
  • Will the broadband card you’re checking out give you the 3G speed they say it will?
  • How fast is it anyway?
  • Is it anything like your cable broadband internet?
  • Who should you get mobile broadband service from?
  • Does it have to be with your cell phone carrier?
  • Will you be stuck with crappy coverage that your cell phone has?
  • What do I do if I buy it but it sucks?
  • Can I get my money back?
  • How do I stop drowning in the sea of which broadband device to pick?
  • What the heck is mobile broadband to begin with anyway?

You’re Not Alone

Not too long ago I spent an entire month scouring the internet with the hopes of answering the very same questions.

I spent countless hours on Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, & Verizon websites trying to figure out who had the best mobile broadband. After reading all the marketing fluff, I didn’t feel like I knew enough to make a solid buying decision.

After all, if I was gonna be locked into a contract for 2 years that’d run me $1440 total, I at least wanted to know I was gonna get half-way decent service. Secretly though, I didn’t want my friends to think their ”tech-savvy’ friend was duped into a bill for 2 years for something that didn’t even work.

After digging through a mountain of review websites, Wikipedia, howstuffworks.com and countless tech blogs for a week and a half, I felt like a guy in the desert looking for gold with my not-so-trusty metal detector.

Mental dehydration was knocking at the door.

That’s When It Hit Me

What if I compared mobile broadband in the same way all these other sites compared cell phones? If I could focus like a laser on the things that were most important when buying mobile broadband, I could compare all the carriers I came across with lightning speed efficiency and still make a good decision.

Based on a 5 point checklist of plans, prices, speed, coverage and devices, I could now zoom through info on each mobile broadband provider, pick out only what I needed, make a decision and ignore the hype.

I felt like I stumbled on a way that would allow anyone to easily figure out who the best provider for their own unique needs.

I Was Wrong

There’s just no point to having  the sharpest Ginsu knife in the world if what you need is a spoon to eat some soup.

Everyone’s situation is different.

Because of that, it’s all about who’s got the best for what you wanna get done where you live, work and play. While this method did work for hundreds of people in my Mobile Broadband Buyer’s Guide E-Course, I felt like something was missing.

I had to investigate more thoroughly.

The Missing Piece of the Puzzle

Several months of scouring the web would eventually lead me to a study released by Net-pop explaining the 5 types of broadband users. After applying their research to the mobile broadband environment, I could then show how the type of broadband user you are would  affect the type of plan, speed, coverage and device that’s best for you.

I’d struck gold. The metal detector was beeping like crazy.

Armed with new information, I refined the mountainous 180+ pages of mobile-broadband-reviews.com alongside countless other tech articles into a step-by-step system. The end result was an easy to follow walk-through of everything you need to know before, during and after of getting mobile broadband service..

I then taught (and continue to teach) many people how to do the same.

Buyer's Guide Readers

Not only have they gained a greater understanding, many have gone on to get broadband devices for free and then even become mini-Guru’s in their own right when they become the ‘tech-guy’ or ‘tech-gal’ in their circle of friends by giving tips and explaining what they learned.

Now, you too can benefit from the condensed lessons I and so many others have learned over the last 2 years.

It’s Not Your Fault They Don’t Want You To Know…

Besides covering how to pick the best provider based on plan, price, speed, coverage and device for the kind of user you are, you’ll learn juicy insider secrets the guys at the kiosk don’t want you to know:

  • It’s not your fault that the guy at the T-Mobile store can’t tell you Sprint’s got better coverage and so if you travel a bunch you should go with the competition. He’d lose his job.
  • It’s not your fault that when you call up AT&T, they can’t give you an honest review of other carriers (or even themselves). Telling you that Verizon’s got more 3G coverage than them is bad for business.

Verizon’s controversial ad highlights AT&T’s lack of 3G coverage while highlighting their own. In response, AT&T attempted to sued them. Verizon’s official legal retort came with this gem on pg. 7: “AT&T sued because Verizon’s ads are true and the truth hurts”…ouch

  • It’s not your fault that there are dead zones right smack in the middle of coverage maps where they supposedly have full bars. Technology can be funny sometimes and they need legal disclaimers to keep you from suing them.
  • It’s not your fault that a lot of unlimited mobile broadband plans aren’t really unlimited. Instead they cut your speed to dialup if you download too much.

There’s Hope

After releasing the Mobile Broadband Buyer’s Guide , there was nothing that could quite capture how good it felt when I started getting emails like this:

The course helped me a great deal — I was trying to make a decision on how to meet my internet needs – remain on DSL -or- switch to an air card. The information was great – helped me to see through the clutter of info that is out there.

– Ron

I have been quite pleased with your E-course.  I am retired, live in a small town in East Texas and do not have contact with a lot of computer users.  Most of what I have learned is from the internet.  It has been hit or miss.  Your E-course has served to reinforce much of what I know (it is always reassuring to know that I have done things right) and have been enlightening in other areas.  It most certainly has been worth my while. I look forward to each new lesson. Thanks for putting it together.  It is certainly well done.

– Jim

I signed up for the course because I spend a lot of weekends away from home, and I would like to take my internet connection with me.  I’m considering a smartphone or a computing device with wireless broadband.  Your course looked like a good place to see what was available with wireless broadband.

The course has given me a solid knowledge set through which I am able to filter the options that are currently available. I’d like to see a prepaid mobile broadband carrier in my area with truly unlimited access, but I don’t think you can do anything about that.
Thanks for taking the time to put together your material.
– Kurt

I found your course on Wireless Broadband to be very complete and timely.  I was looking to purchase a long-term card, but wasn’t sure which vendor provided the best service and price.  You cleared that up and pointed me in the right direction.

I especially found the links to each vendor, their products, and coverage maps an excellent resource. Finally, your descriptions of the products, plans, and the links to LetsTalk were ideal in my decision making. Thanks for the time you spent building the information and keep up the good work!

Who Needs It & Who Doesn’t?

You need the Buyer’s Guide if you’ve ever wondered:

  • Can mobile broadband replace my DSL, Cable or FIOS internet?
  • Can I get service without a contract?
  • Can I play World of Warcraft with mobile broadband?
  • Is it still a good deal if I only use mobile broadband occasionally?
  • How reliable is it?
  • Who’s the best mobile broadband provider?
  • Who’s the cheapest provider?
  • How much will 5 Gigabytes (250 MB, 200 MB or even 50 MB) get me?
  • How much can I expect to pay?
  • Should I get a ExpressCard or PC Card or USB Broadband Card?
  • Do those netbooks with built-in broadband make sense?
  • Can I use it in the middle of a storm while my friends are stuck w/no access? (Yes, see the pictures below)

So Who Doesn’t Need It?

  • You’re already satisfied with your cable, DSL or fiber optic connection and have no need to be mobile.
  • Between your home network, office and free Wi-Fi, you’re covered pretty much everywhere.
  • You just need to tether your cell phone once a month for all your mobile broadband needs.
  • You’re a college student who stays on a dorm and has access to free WiFi 24/7.
  • You’re surrounded by free or really cheap WiFi everywhere you go.
  • You’re trying to get mobile broadband for free.

What’s So Special About It?

No one else arms you with comparisons of every provider alongside a checklist of how to evaluate which is best based on your unique situation.

Because I’m affiliated with just about everyone, it doesn’t matter who to me who buy it from. Once you get it through any of my referral links, I get credit for it. Since it supports the site no matter who you buy from, I can recommend any provider without bias.

It’s cradle to the grave.

By covering what you need to know before, during and after you buy, you avoid the mistakes most people  make when picking a service. You’ll also learn how to get devices for free, along with ongoing tips and support to get the most out of it after you buy.

How Much Does The Buyer’s Guide Cost?

It’s free…for now (I’m might reconsider this due to the amount of time I’ve put in to give seriously solid quality information).

So What’s The Catch?

I accept gratuities.

It’s my sincere hope that this information really makes a difference for you. I’ve put a lot of time into making sure that it does.

In return, I do hope you buy some mobile broadband if you really want it. When you do buy, I want you to buy through one of my affiliates so I can get a commission that helps pay the bills. Win, win situation for us all.

Oh yeah…

Please don’t just walk into a store when you’re ready to get mobile broadband. That doesn’t help me any (nor does it help you).

If you want, I’ll even put your name up with a digital sticky next to it on a portion of the site I’ll call "cool people that help me pay bills" if you let me know when you buy something.

What If The Buyer’s Guide Doesn’t Help Me?

If this doesn’t help you within the first 5 lessons, I want you to unsubscribe.

Time is a non-renewable resource you can’t ever get back. I wouldn’t want you to waste a second of it even if it’s something as simple as taking it to read an email (though I doubt that’ll be the case given how much it’s helped people get the best mobile broadband).

If you do take that drastic move though, at least tell me why before you do so I can see if it’s something I can fix.

To Learn or Not To Learn, That Is The Question…

If you’d like to have rock solid confidence in everything you need to know before, during and after buying mobile broadband, sign up.

If you’d rather stumble in the dark and maybe get locked into a 2 year contract with crappy speed and coverage, then don’t.

I kid you not.

I’ve seen this happen with many who’ve waited too long. Remember, due diligence is done before, not after you buy.

With all being said, I know you’ll have a rocking good time with the Mobile Broadband Buyer’s Guide. I wish you the best in all your online adventures and look forward to talking with you soon.
