2011 Mobile Broadband Rental Review
< Back | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | Next >
Event Radio Rentals has 5 broadband cards and 3 mobile hotspots available for mobile broadband rental.
As mentioned before, the device you choose (and where you use it) will determine your 3G or 4G speed and coverage:
Broadband Cards:
- Verizon 4G UML290 (Review)
- Sprint 4G U300 (Review)
- AT&T Mercury 881 USB (3G) (Review)
- Sprint Compass 597 (3G) (Review)
- Verizon U760 (3G) (Review)
If renting a broadband card, I recommend going for the UML290 especially if in a Verizon 4G coverage area. Otherwise, go for the Sprint 4G U300 if in a Sprint 4G coverage area.
My Experience:
I’ve personally tested the Verizon 4G UML290 & Sprint 4G U300 from EventRadioRentals.com.
Click on the previous links for my experience with receiving, installation, speed testing and returning each.
Mobile Hotspots:
- Sierra Overdrive 4G Mobile Hotspot (Review)
- Sprint MiFi 2200 (Review)
- Verizon MiFi 2200 (Review)
If renting a mobile broadband hotspot, I recommend going for the 4G Overdrive especially if in a 4G area.
Even if you’re in a 3G only area, the 4G Overdrive has many more features that you might find handy and costs the same as 3G devices.
With such a line up, naturally the next question is, ‘how much does Event Radio Rentals cost?’
