Why C- Grade for Slingshot? How About F?
Given all the horror stories, refusal to communicate honestly with customers about what their problems are, etc., why is Slingshot getting even a c-? Don't they deserve an F?

You make a good point. Slingshot has had a history of bad communications. They've even lashed out at the review done of their service on this site.
Slingshot's current state, however, has been reflected in the 2010 Prepaid Mobile Broadband Comparison
Thankfully, there are many other providers more than happy to provide service.
