With plans to launch LTE in 31 cities by 2013, will Clear 4G be the sole source of unlimited mobile broadband or will they cave like Sprint?

AT&T 4G speed is advertised as “download speeds of 5 – 12 Mbps & upload speeds of 2 – 5 Mbps.” But what do real world speed tests reveal?

Millenicom 3G speed is from 0.5 – 1.5 Mbps. Their 4G speed however, can be as fast as 20.29 Mbps. That’s faster than DSL and Cable.

While US Cellular 3G speed hasn’t changed much, they do plan to launch 4G speed via LTE in 2011.

T-Mobile 4G speed tests show a 226% increase in speed. With a 42 Mbps upgrade on the way, it could get faster than Verizon LTE.

Sprint 4G now has coverage in 82 cities, 3 new 4G mobile broadband devices and is deciding whether to leave WiMAX in favor of LTE.
